<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data storage system and a data processing apparatus capable of urging a user to store data including prescribed contents. <P>SOLUTION: When document data are received (YES: S11), whether or not a prescribed character string or particular information such as a mark is detected from the document data is decided (S13). When the particular information is detected (YES: S13), the necessity of registration to a registration server 200 is confirmed for the user (S14), when the necessity of the registration is designated (YES: S15), the document data are transmitted to the registration server 200 (S16).
