PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher capable of sterilizing bacteria and mold generated in residual food and residual water without heating the inside of a washing tub while an operation is stopped. SOLUTION: During non-operation duration time after the end of the operation until the start of the next operation, sterilization liquid 90 is supplied every 48 hours. The sterilization liquid 90 is supplied to a residual food filter 17, the residual food 78 on the residual food filter 17, a lower filter 80 and the residual water 82 inside a water accumulating recessed part 31 through a sterilization liquid supplier 96, a sterilization liquid introducing path 72 inside the washing tub 14, a first sterilization liquid introducing device 74 and a second sterilization liquid introducing device 84. Thus, the residual food 78 on the residual food filter 17 and the residual water 82 inside the water accumulating recessed part 31 with the risk of the propagation of the bacteria and mold when left alone for a long period of time are sterilized and the propagation is prevented.
