PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a transducing apparatus including a writer for controlling thermal protrusion of a pole chip and having a heater circuit. SOLUTION: This transducing apparatus includes the pole chip (26) region and the writer (14) having a heater circuit. The heater circuit (40) has a heating portion and a return path of a heater current. The heating portion has at least two branches (46a, 46b) arranged for the writer, currents flowing through at least two branches heat the writer. The heater current return path is electrically connected to at least two branches the heating portion near the pole chip region, and includes an electrically conductive portion of the writer.
