PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition containing a butyl-based regenerated rubber, giving a vulcanized environmentally safe rubber, showing a sufficient vulcanization rate and improved with physical characteristics such as tensile strength, etc. SOLUTION: This rubber composition is obtained by blending a system obtained by blending 50-95 pt, wt. 1 kind or≥2 kinds selected from a group consisting of IIR, Br-IIR, Cl-IIR, IR, BR and SBR with 5-50 pt.wt. butyl-based regenerated rubber in an equivalent amount with the rubber component of the butyl-based regenerated rubber, with 0.5-10.0 pt.wt. polysulfide polymer expressed by general formula (I): R<SP>2</SP>S<SB>y</SB>R<SP>1</SP>(S<SB>x</SB>R<SP>1</SP>)<SB>n</SB>S<SB>y</SB>R<SP>2</SP>---(I) [wherein, R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>, (x), (y) and (n) are each defined in claim 1] and having 200-15,000 number-average molecular weight, 0.8-3.0 pt.wt. tetrabenzylthiuram disulfide expressed by general formula (II), 0.5-2.0 pt.wt. at least 1 kind of a vulcanization accelerator selected from thiazole-based and sulfenamide-based vulcanization accelerators and 0.3-1.2 pt.wt. sulfur.
