PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste removal method capable of effectively avoiding the phenomenon of raising a label product together with waste, and a waste removal apparatus. SOLUTION: When a strip-like label raw material 4 is allowed to run and parts other than a label product 10 are peeled as label refuses 18 and 19 from the label release sheet 6 temporarily bonded to the peel paper 7 which constitutes the label raw material 4, the first cutting line 8 corresponding to the outer shape of the label product 10 and the second cutting line 9, which is formed by cutting so as to exceed the inside part of the first cutting line 8 to divide the label release sheet 6 in its width direction, are preliminarily provided to the label release sheet 6. Then, the parts other than the label product 10 positioned on both sides of the second cutting line 9 in the whole of the label release sheet 6 are peeled as label refuses 18 and 19 one side by one side while pressing the surface of the label release sheet 6.
