PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a recording waveform data signal to a driving circuit by a smaller number of signal wires than the number of recording waveforms without loading a waveform generating circuit on a recording head. SOLUTION: The recording waveform data signal DATA is serially transmitted to a head driver 21 from a main body main circuit. A serial-parallel conversion circuit 35 parallel-converts the recording waveform data signal, and forms a plurality of kinds of recording waveform signals. A selector 33 in the head driver 21 selects a specified recording waveform signal from among a plurality of kinds of the recording waveform signals from selection data included in driving signals corresponding to each actuator.
