The invention relates to a method for determining and/or examining through-hardening of an object which is printed with printing ink, after said object has undergone a printing process. The object which is printed with the printing ink is warmed to a predetermined temperature T_max in a heating step. The printed object is brought into contact with a counter material under a predetermined pressure in a pressing step, and during a control step, part of the transferred printing ink which is subjected to the effects of heat and pressure on the counter material, is used as a measurement for the degree of hardening of the printing ink.
