PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line characteristics exhibiting system and a method of exhibiting line characteristics in which the cause can be analyzed, when the provider side of xDSL presents ideal transmission speed, in a line which each user uses which can be transmitted, or when the actual speed is much different from the estimated transmission speed. SOLUTION: The method of exhibiting the line property includes the steps of performing the initial training of each line held in a station side apparatus (step S201), and acquiring the result and analyzing the line length of the line (step S203). The method includes the step of computing the ideal transmission rate, by the analysis of the signal-to-noise ratio being performed (step S205). This speed is compared with the actual speed (step S206), and in cases than the case where both are substantially identical, the method includes the step of performing the analysis in question, using the various kinds of models (step S210).
