METHOD FOR PREVENTING DEVELOPMENT OF DUST FROM TRANSPORTING VESSEL FOR MOLTEN IRON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely restrain the development of dust from a transporting vessel for molten iron with a low cost when the molten iron after applying dephosphorize-treatment or desiliconize-treatment, is transported to the following process by the transporting vessel for molten iron. SOLUTION: Converter decarburized slag produced in the converter decarburize-refining in the molten iron, or ladle slag developed in the ladle for holding molten steel tapped from the converter, is added into the molten iron transporting vessel for transporting the molten iron after applying the dephosphorize-treatment or the desiliconize-treatment, as the cover-slag to prevent the development of the dust. In this case, the slag added as the cover-slag is desirable to be in the range of 2-5 CaO/SiO2mass ratio in the slag components and in the range of 0.6-1.4 CaO/Al2O3mass ratio in the slag components and≤0.5 mass% phosphorus content and≤0.1 mass% sulfur content in the slag components.
