PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front windshield supporting structure for a vehicle, capable of certainly supporting a front wind shied lower portion when a load which is normally acted and less than a predetermined value is inputted, and improving load absorbing efficiency by increasing permitted deforming amount of the front windshield lower portion when a load not less than the predetermined value is inputted. SOLUTION: A cross member 4 composed of upper/lower panels 5, 6 forming a box portion 4a is cantilever-united at an upper end portion on a rear side wall 3b of a dash upper panel 3 united to an upper end portion of a dash lower panel 2. An upper part of a shelf portion 3a of the dash upper panel 3 is covered at predetermined intervals, and a brace 7 equipped with an easy-to-deform portion 8 is disposed between the cross member 4 and the shelf portion 3a. Therefore, the holding stiffness of the front windshield 1 is ensured under a normal use condition, and on the other hand, at emergency when an excessive load F is inputted to the front windshield 1, the front windshield 1 lower portion is depressed to efficiently absorb impact energy with crushing deformation of the brace 7.
