PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide iron powder covered with a laminated oxide film for manufacturing components of various electromagnetic circuits requiring high specific resistance. SOLUTION: There is provided the Fe powder covered with a laminated oxide wherein the surface of iron powder is covered with an oxide deposition film of three-element system of Mg-Fe-O in which fine particle of metal Fe is dispersed into the basic element and moreover with an oxide film such as zinc oxide film, boron oxide film, vanadium oxide film, bismuth oxide film, antimony oxide film, molybdenum oxide film, silicon oxide film, and aluminum oxide film. The oxide deposition film of three-element of Mg-Fe-O is the iron powder covered with a laminated oxide film and a composite soft magnetic material wherein concentration gradient of Mg and O is reduced toward the inside from the front surface and that of Fe is increased toward the internal side, a sulfurized layer including sulfur in the concentration higher than that included at the center of iron powder is comprised in the interface region to the iron powder, and fine crystal organization has the crystal grain size of≤200 nm.
