PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition which is lightweight and is used for the reinforcing liners of run flat tires having excellent exothermic property and anti-fatigue characteristics. SOLUTION: This rubber composition for the reinforcing liners of the run flat tires comprises 100 pts.wt. of a dienic rubber, 20 to 80 pts.wt. of cis-1,4-polybutadiene modified with syndiotactic 1,2-polybutadiene,≥60 pts.wt. of carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area (N<SB>2</SB>SA) of≤50 m<SP>2</SP>/g, and 2 to 20 pts.wt. of a thermally expandable material.
