PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread rolling roller capable of forming a thread on a stainless steel tube by plastic working. SOLUTION: The thread rolling roller (35) having a plurality of discontinuous ridge parts on an outer circumference thereof comprises a first drawing groove part (L1) which is formed from one end of the thread rolling roller and consists of a plurality of steps of the ridge parts, and a second drawing groove part (L2) which is formed adjacent to the first drawing groove part and consists of at least one step of the ridge parts. The shape of the second drawing groove part substantially corresponds to the shape of a thread to be rolled. The difference (H1) in height between the ridge parts of the steps adjacent to each other in the first drawing groove part (L1) is set to be smaller than the difference in height between the ridge parts of the steps adjacent to each other in the second drawing groove part (L2), or the difference (H2) in height between the final ridge part of the first drawing groove part and the ridge part of the second drawing groove part adjacent to the final ridge part.
