PURPOSE: A production method of functional rice by immersing grain, such as rice, glutinous rice, barley, bean or the like, in an extract of ginseng, jujube, chestnut or the like at low temperature is provided. The rice has a good taste and flavor and further contains nutrients in great quantities. CONSTITUTION: Grain selected from rice, glutinous rice, barley, black rice, bean, corn and the like is immersed for about 10hr in the extract of a health food ingredient at 20deg.C or less first, and then at 70 to 120deg.C or more. Other grain except rice and barley is slightly roasted prior to immersion. The health food ingredient includes ginseng, chestnut, jujube, garlic, apple, tomato, ginger, green tea, Ganoderma lucidum or the like. |
