PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid case and a recording device which transmits a variety of information to a user by controlling a light emission means provided in the recording device by a control signal from a liquid case without increasing the size and cost of the liquid case. SOLUTION: Ink tanks 103M and 103Y which can be mounted on a recording device with LEDs 211M, 212M, 211Y and 212Y are provided with electrode pads 102 which can be electrically connected to the recording device and outputs a control signal to control signal lines LM and LY through the electrode pads 102.
