ULTRAVIOLET RAY HORIZONTAL IRRADIATION TYPE AIR STERILIZATION APPARATUS, AND METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UV irradiation apparatus which efficiently sterilizes bacteria and viruses floating in the air by emitting UV to air flow in an indoor space directly and constantly without exposing a human body and an animal in a room to UV radiation. SOLUTION: UV radiated from a UV lamp in a room is made to be emitted only in a horizontal direction from a high place in the room, which is sufficiently higher than the height of the human body and the animal in the room for efficiently sterilizing the air flow in the indoor space without exposing the human body and the animal in the room to UV radiation. Then, the UV generated from the UV lamp is reflected by a reflecting mirror which has a high reflectance to the wavelength of the UV lamp to be guided to a radiation control board for suppressing diffusing of the UV in a vertical direction to be emitted horizontally indoor.
