<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition which is capable of realizing an image which has no runs and a gloss, and which is excellent in the glossiness particularly at the time of using an exclusive paper. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition, being for use in the inkjet recording method and containing at least a colorant, water and a surfactant, is characterized in that the above surfactant satisfies formula (I): β-α≥0 (I), wherein (i) α(degree) is a contact angle after 0.3 second of the aqueous solution containing 0.1% by weight of the above surfactant relative to the above recording medium; and (ii) β(degree) is a contact angle after 0.3 second of an aqueous solution containing 0.1% by weight of the above surfactant, 20% by weight of glycerine, 10% by weight of 1,2-hexanediol and 1.0% by weight of triethanol amine relative to the above recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
