<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rope tension capable of solving the problem that a tied existing string or rope must be re-tied in order to eliminate its loosening, once it is firmly tied, the knot is hardly untied, and hardly tied while maintaining high tension, and though the high tension can be obtained by using a tool for adjusting tension, the tool must be used as planned from the beginning, and the use of the tool leads to complicatedness, high cost, and little convenience. <P>SOLUTION: A tension adjusting stopper is provided, which hooks a stopper of a simple shape to a loosened string or rope without untying the knot while maintaining an existing knot as it is, gives torsion to the string or the rope itself so as to be shrunk by turning a holder handle, the tension in the existing string, the rope or the like is adjusted, and an arm of the stopper is hooked to the string, the rope or the like to be fixed.
