<p>A feeler extends a predetermined depth into the conveyor belt and presses into the vessels or is displaced by the vessels. A sensor (38) measures the displacement. The feeler is formed from a number of adjacent radially movable feeler fingers mounted on a rotatable sensor wheel (15). The sensor is designed to measure the displacement of the feeler finger located in a measuring position.</p>
