摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can reduce the variation in luminescence quantity of light for every LED element generated in connection with the temperature difference due to the luminescence for every LED element of LPH without adding a new sensor. <P>SOLUTION: In a copying machine 1 of this invention, the amount of data of pixel which corresponds respectively for every LED element per predetermined unit time is monitored with the image data which has been input into an LPH-data controlling circuit section 158. The difference obtained from the comparison between the pixel and the amount of data of pixel excluding the former pixel for every pixel corresponding to the LED element is further compared with a predetermined threshold value. According to the comparison result, initial correction data or new correction data for every LED element to which a predetermined correction data portion that makes the variation in quantity of light for every LED element decreased has been added is input into a light-quantity correcting circuit section 160a.
