PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washer member capable of obtaining stable caulking force by lowering a caulked part. SOLUTION: The washer member 20 is used for fastening objects to be fastened 10, 12 with a rivet 1. In the washer member 20, a loosely inserted hole 21 is formed to loosely insert the rivet 1, a bearing surface 22 around the loosely inserted hole 21 is step-shaped having a projection portion 22a in which the center side of the loosely inserted hole 21 is projected from the outside. A housing part 23 having a predetermined thickness is formed opposite to the projected bearing surface 22 at the loosely inserted hole to house the caulking part 6 in the housing part 23. Since the part of washer member is fitted in the objects to be fastened, and the caulked part of the rivet is located in the objects to be fastened, the caulking height from the surface of the objects to be fastened is extreamly lowered, so as not to disturb the caulked part when a briefcase and a bag are in use.
