<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor which can emit white light even when used alone and to provide a light-emitting module using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The white light-emitting phosphor is represented by the following formula and desirably has an excitation peak wavelength of 350 to 420 nm. (M<SB>5-a-x-y</SB>, Mg<SB>a</SB>)(PO<SB>4</SB>)<SB>3</SB>Q:Eu<SP>2+</SP><SB>x</SB>, Mn<SP>2+</SP><SB>y</SB>(wherein M is one or a combination of Ca and Sr; Q is one or a combination of Cl and F; 0.05≤a≤3; 0<x<5; and 0<y<5, provided that 0.05<a+x+y<5).
