<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transflective liquid crystal display apparatus that suppresses yellowing phenomenon in both of a transmissive mode and a reflective mode upon adopting rendering techniques. <P>SOLUTION: Each pixel of the liquid crystal display apparatus has a set of subpixels preferably arranged in a 2×3 matrix, wherein each subpixel has a transmissive area and a reflective area. A first subpixel laid at the center of the matrix is preferably blue, and the reflective area is equal to or larger than the transmissive area.
