PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an ink droplet ejecting apparatus which can stably make large one dot formed to a medium to be recorded while preventing the generation of satellite to the one dot, and to achieve an ink droplet ejection method. SOLUTION: A controlling device which applies driving pulse signals to piezoelectric actuators in the case of forming one dot of a predetermined size to the medium outputs at least four driving pulse signals. The first and second driving pulse signals P1 and P2 among at least the four driving pulse signals have the pulse widths T1 and T2 set to shift to the vicinity of a pulse width T0 of the driving pulse signal of the time when both ejection speed and ejection quantity of ink droplets ejected from nozzles become peak values, thereby attaining the ejection quantity smaller than the ejection quantity of the peak value. The third and fourth driving pulse signals P3 and P4 have the pulse widths T3 and T4 set to negate pressure waves of remaining ink by the first and second driving pulse signals and also to make the ejection quantity smaller than the ejection quantity by the first or second driving pulse signal.
