<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase connection force of a female screw member (for example, a connector of a common rail) and a male screw member (for example, a joint of the common rail) in a manufacturing method for a tightening body constituted by fixing the female screw member and the male screw member by screw-fitting of screws. <P>SOLUTION: The common rail is manufactured in (a) a plating process for applying plating 38 to at least either of a connector female screw 27 and a main body side male screw 29, (b) an assembly process for screw-fitting the main body side male screw 29 into the connector female screw 27 after plating, and (c) a heating process for heating the assembled common rail. In this heating process, (1) water in the plating 38 is vaporized and coefficient of friction of the connector female screw 27 and the main body side male screw 29 is increased, (2) the plating 38 creeps to increase contact area of the connector female screw 27 and the main body side male screw 29, and (3) the plating 38 is diffused and adheres. As a result, connection force of the connector 22 and the joint 23 is increased to avoid disadvantage for turning the joint 23 together when removing a pipe tightening nut from the joint 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
