摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst coating structure in a metal catalyst carrier which is capable of enhancing catalyst performance and to provide a catalyst coating method in a metal catalyst carrier. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst coating method in the metal catalyst carrier comprises depositing slurry on the surface of a corrugated plate 11 and a flat plate 12 by passing the slurry incorporating catalyst components in a cell conduit and then drying the metal catalyst carrier 1 with the inflow side of exhaust gas directed downward. Accordingly, the slurry of the exhaust gas inflow side of the corrugated plate 11 and the flat plate 12 to become the leading edge to the stream of the exhaust gas and the opening marginal part which faces the exhaust gas inflow side in a slit aperture 11a, 12a is formed to approximately water drop-like shape in a cross section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
