<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document preparation support system or the like holding download (D/L) history information of a document of a PDF format prepared by use of commodity information unitarily managed by a database and held, and performing totaling and result display of a D/L history thereof. <P>SOLUTION: In this document preparation support system, a control part 201 of a server 101 records and holds the document D/L history information 370 of the document 341 performed with D/L requirement from a client terminal 103. The document D/L history information 370 is a history ID, a document ID, a document name, a preparator, a preparation date, a D/L date, and a D/L user or the like.
