1364964 Sintering machines HEINRICH KOPPERS GmbH 30 June 1972 [9 July 1971] 30810/72 Heading F4B In a sintering machine comprising a series of grate cars 6 pushed around tracks 10, 16, a suitable gap 5 is preserved between said cars at the delivery end 1 by movement of said delivery end 1 in relation to a fixed part 9 of the machine by screw jacks 8 associated with higher hydraulic buffers 17. The movable delivery end 1 is mounted on roller bearings 2 and the screw jacks 8 on each side of the machine are interconnected by drive shafts 12 driven by a motor 15 through angle transmissions 13 and clutches 14. The buffers 17 which are also disposed on either side of the machine below the upper tracks 16 interconnect the machine parts 1 and 9 by their pistons 18 and couplings 19. They are interconnected with one another and with an accumulator by a duct incorporating a restriction. Movement of the delivery end is controlled by limit switches. |
