<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for limiting image formation of an image formation request from others than a specified requesting end on a network without requiring time and trouble. <P>SOLUTION: On receiving a print request from any of PCs 6, 7, 8 (1), a printer 2 inquires whether the transmission source of the print request is a PC permitted to print or not to a server device 5 (2). The server device 5 determines whether or not an IP address of the PC at the end of transmitting the print request is registered in a database 541. If it is registered, the print permission is transmitted to the printer 2, and the printer 2 performs printing according to the print request (3). Meanwhile, when the IP address of the PC at the end of transmitting the print request is not registered in the database 541, the server device 5 transmits print nonpermission to the printer 2, so that the printer 2 refuses printing (5). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
