PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose acylate film which has little thickness unevenness and hardly causes front retardation change, to provide a polarizing plate using the cellulose acylate film and to provide a liquid crystal display device which uses such a polarizing plate, causes no display irregularity and is high-quality.

SOLUTION: In the cellulose acylate film, an orientation degree P0of cellulose acylate molecular chain on the film surface and a mean orientation degree Ptof cellulose acylate molecular chain over the whole thickness of the film satisfy the following relation; 2≤P0/Pt≤5 (expression 1).
