PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output method and an output device for preventing deterioration in communication quality by preventing sound interruption in the output device such as a terminal device for an IP telephone, and to provide a communication system and a computer program.

SOLUTION: The output device 1 determines whether or not unoutputted sound data are accumulated (S201). When determining that the unoutputted sound data are not accumulated (NO in S201), the output device 1 reads the previously outputted sound data after being outputted (S209), and reproduces (outputs) a sound based on the read sound data (S211).
