PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound pickup device capable of reducing influences of wind noises without impairing advantages of a directional microphone device. SOLUTION: Microphones 11, 12 are disposed close to each other. Outputs of the microphones 11, 12 are supplied to a differential computing unit 13 and an adder 14. The differential computing unit 13 computes differential signals of the microphones 11, 12, and the adder 14 computes an addition signal. A noise determinator 17 determines presence of wind noises based on an output signal from the differential computing unit 13. A synthesis output part 18 selects an output of a signal from the differential computing unit 13 (amplifier 15) for every frequency component (or frequency bandwidth) in response to a signal from the noise determinator 17, or an output of a signal from the adder 14 (amplifier 16), to output it to a speaker or the like.
