PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the diffusion of an air in an inner section of a body, the air being input to the inner section from the external section of the body, and to efficiently collect ink mist and satellites. SOLUTION: This inkjet recorder performs recording by ejecting a plurality of ink droplets from ejection ports of a recording head during a reciprocal movement of a carriage. The inkjet recorder has an air collection mechanism for sucking the air in a direction perpendicular to a main scanning direction of the recording head and a shape of an upper section of a paper discharge hole to which a recording medium is discharged from the body 2 is made to have irregularities. A component such as the ink mist or satellites occurring in addition to main droplets of ink which may degrade the quality of an image can be efficiently collected by the air collection mechanism, thereby preventing the component from being adhered to the inner section.
