A method of producing a structure body, where a fine structure body is uniformly produced by constructing a medium for forming a structure body as a layered structure where a light absorbing layer for absorbing light to produce heat and a thermal reaction layer for reacting to heat are separated. The method includes a step of irradiating light to the medium for forming a structure body including a layered structure that is constituted of a light absorbing layer containing at least a light absorbing material and of a thermal reaction layer containing a thermal reaction material, and includes a step of etching the light-irradiated medium.
