<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode plate for an alkaline storage battery capable of obtaining sufficient adhesion strength between resin and an electrode plate edge surface, eliminating a gap between electrode plates with resin, and making prevention of peeling off/falling off of an active material from the edge surface of the electrode plate unnecessary in a paste type electrode plate formed by filling and coating the active material in a porous sheet and an alkaline storage battery using the paste type electrode plate. <P>SOLUTION: In the paste type electrode 1 formed by filling and coating the active material 12 in the porous sheet 11 and the alkaline storage battery using the paste type electrode plate, resin is fixed only to both cut edge surfaces of an active material layer of the electrode plate by molding with a die 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
