<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable broadcast receiving device which can continuously offer a broadcast content even if it is located out of a broadcast receiving zone. <P>SOLUTION: A broadcast station distributes a data stream (DS) to a plurality of segments A to C by a NVOD (Near Video On-Demand) service. The CPU 7 of the broadcast receiving device 100 extracts the segment C which distributes an approximate content of the segment A specified by a user from compressed video data, compressed voice data, content information, and time information, and holds the approximate segment content in a recording memory 6 as the DS for backup. When the broadcast receiving element 100 moves out of the receiving zone state, the CPU reads out the DS of the approximate segment C corresponding to the segment A from the recording memory 6, and decodes.
