PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens moving mechanism that uses a special biasing member in order to prevent backlash of a lead screw between a lens holding member. SOLUTION: In the lens moving mechanism 11, a nut 24 made of an elastic material is used to bias the lead screw 23 and the nut against each other and the nut and the lens holding member 14 against each other in the direction of thrust. Further, in order to prevent backlash between the lens holding member and the guide shaft 15 and backlash between the lens holding member and the anti-rotation shaft, the lens holding member is biased in a radial direction. This improves, by a simple configuration, accuracy in positioning the lens holding member, prevents displacement of the optical axis of the lens holding member, and tilt of the optical axis.
