PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag equipped with an enhanced pressure resistance to work when the airbag body is spread without increasing the cost. SOLUTION: The airbag body 1 is formed in a bag shape by sewing together the peripheral edges of two base cloth panels 1a and 1b, in which sewing is made so that the overlapping part 1c of the starting part and the ending part of sewing lies elsewhere than the air bag body 1 is first spread, whereby the pressure resistance of the part of airbag body 1 to be first spread can be enhanced, and the pressure resistance of the airbag body 1 can be enhanced without altering the sewing pattern of the airbag body 1 or using a thicker woven cloth by the base cloth panels 1a and 1b, so that the cost of the airbag body 1 will not increase.
