PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery terminal allowing a screw member to be fastened in the vertical direction in order to improve working efficiency in installing it in a battery post. SOLUTION: A battery plate 11 is mounted on the upper surface of a battery BT and the battery post BP is inserted into a post insertion hole 14. A fastening body 15 is put on top of it, the upper part of the battery post BP is projected from a cylindrical part 16, and a stud bolt 13 attached to the terminal plate 11 is made to pierce the fastening body 15. In addition, a wire connection body 20 with a wire W connected thereto is mounted on the fastening body 15. Thereafter, when a pressing plate part 17 of the fastening body 15 is fastened to the terminal plate 11 by screwing a fastening nut 19 to the stud bolt 13, the cylindrical part 17 is tilted with respect to the battery post BP because the pressing plate part 17 is inclined with respect to the cylindrical part 16 and the circumferential surface of the battery post BP is pinched by parts in its inner periphery facing to each other.
