<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device for movable bodies which facilitate the reference and management of record data, in spite of recording pictures responding to two or more triggers. <P>SOLUTION: The recording device 1 for movable bodies is provided with an image pick-up 2; a signal processor 3 for creating image data according to a picture signal from the image pick-up 2; a trigger generator 6 capable of generating two or more kinds of triggers responding to an input signal given from an acceleration sensor 31, a manual operation button 32, a communication circuit 33, and the like. When a trigger of some kind occurs, motion picture data and still picture data as a thumbnail after the trigger occurrence time are recorded on a recorder 5.
