<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storing tray for an excess length of an optical fiber, a tray free from bulkiness when stacked and imparting no stress to the optical fiber when open-operated. <P>SOLUTION: The tray is formed by connecting a planar body 1 on which the optical fiber 1 composed of a coated optical fiber or a coated optical fiber ribbon can be wound and stored, to a cover plate 2 with which the open face of the body 1 is closed while a single coated optical fiber can be wound and stored, by means of a hinge 3 integrally formed with the body 1 and the cover plate 2. A connecting part holder 7 installed in the body 1 and the same 7 in the cover plate 2 are arranged non-symmetrically with respect to the hinge 3 so as not to be superimposed on each other when the tray is closed. A notch 12 is provided on both ends of the hinge 3, making the optical fiber 4 freely come in and out. Also, a bar shaped connecting piece 14a and a clamping piece 14b are provided for the purpose of stacking and connecting the trays with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
