PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new image processing processor capable of attaining the acceleration of image processing. SOLUTION: The image processing processor has a common processing unit 6, a plurality of dedicated processing units 7 and a control part 3. The common processing unit 6 is used in common about a plurality of color components and executes processing corresponding to a certain instruction. The plurality of dedicated processing units 7 are individually provided for each of color components, respectively, corresponding to the plurality of color components and parallel execute processing corresponding to a certain instruction. The control part 3 controls the common processing unit 6 and the plurality of dedicated processing units 7 on the basis of a series of instructions regulating image processing procedures and also controls data transfer between the common processing unit 6 and the plurality of dedicated processing units 7.
