PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a renting-out case which is prevented from being stolen when a DVD or the like is displayed on a shelf in a store by housing it in the renting-out case, and by which the lock can quickly be unlocked when the renting-out case is rented out to a customer. SOLUTION: This renting-out case comprises a main body case 1, and a lid 2 which closes the main body case 1, and has a structure in which a lock plate 3 having a tag seal or the like which is sensed by an alarming device from the external opening 4 of the case is locked so that the lid 2 may not be opened by slidably inserting the lock plate 3 in a lock plate housing space 5. The lock plate 3 is composed of a flat plate section 10 and a pinching section 11 having a U-shaped cross-section. On the back surface side of the lock plate 3, a magnet 32 or a magnetic body is provided, and also, locking claws 15a and 15b are formed on the end of an arm which is warp-deformed on the pinching section 11. At the same time, magnets 31a and 31b or a magnetic body are attached to arms 30a and 30b. The renting-out case is locked by hooking the locking claws 15a and 15b on the ends of the arms to a hooking section 8 or the like provided on the case by inserting the lock plate 3 in the lock plate housing space 7 of the case.
