PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain die height data in a short time without requiring skill even in the first pressing operation. SOLUTION: The die height compensation support system dealing with an SPM (stroke per minute) in a press is provided with: the bottom dead point-position detection means 8, 9; a die height regulating means 11; and an arithmetic and control unit 3 functioning so that when a press is operated with a set SPM in a continuous process set by an operator, the average bottom dead point displacement quantity is acquired based on bottom dead point position signals from the bottom dead point position detecting means 8, 9, the acquired average bottom dead point displacement quantity is stored in a data sorage section 2 together with the set SPM while associated with a die number designated by the operator, and, in the subsequent continuous process, the average bottom dead point displacement quantity corresponding to the set SPM and the designated die number set and designated by the operator are read out from the data storage section 2, the die height regulating means 11 is controlled based on the read-out average bottom dead point displacement quantity so as to allow the press to operate in the continuous process depending on the average bottom dead point displacement quantity after being regulated by the die height regulating means 11.
