The resection implement (1) has a fastening member (12) screwed (6) to the shaft of a long bone (3). A block (10) may swivel on the fastening member to adjust the directions of the X, Y and Z axes. A swivel (14) on the block allows rotational motion at 90 degrees to the first rotation. Pins (19) on a third block fit into bores (18) in a second block. The third block holds a slider (29,30) for the bone resection block (2).
