<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which efficiently performs gradation drawing and reduces time required for printing processing. <P>SOLUTION: Figure drawing commands, which constitute print data from an image output control device, are sequentially interpreted, and the results of the interpretations are analyzed. When a received drawing command is a drawing command constituting gradation in which a color changes in a direction in which addresses on a page memory continue (Y in S2), the drawing command is converted to a gradation drawing command with which each drawing command is combined (S3), and a printing drawing image is developed on the page memory. By this, when a figure to be drawn is gradation, a plurality of graphic drawing commands are combined to drop them in gradation drawing units, and accordingly the gradation can be drawn at high speed, as a variable drawing which does not change for each color but whose long sideways color is constant, by developing the printing drawing image on the page memory with the smaller number of times of access to the memory. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
