PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic apparatus having ease of use for forming an image of object light made incident via a photographic optical system onto an imaging element to generate image data. SOLUTION: A transparent display board 10_43 comprising an optically transparent board whereon light transparent LEDs are two-dimensionally mounted is arranged between an objective lens 10_41 and an eyepiece lens 10_42, and a display control section 129 lights the LEDs on the transparent display board 10_43, on the basis of image data representing a region equivalent to a region segmented by an electronic zoom means so as to display the frame representing the magnification of electronic zoom in an optical finder 10_4.
