PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage on the eaves side in the case of putting a safety rope around a roof. SOLUTION: This guide device for the safety rope for construction work is provided with a clamping part 9 fixed in the state of clamping the eaves side end of a roofing tile 44, and a guide part 10 inserting and guiding the safety rope 18 stretched over the roof 20 and guiding the safety rope curvedly downward in the state of the eaves side tip part 13 overhanging a gutter 47. The guide part 10 is provided with a groove part 11 for guiding the safety rope 18 to the eaves side tip part 13, and a guide roller 8 bending the guide direction of the safety rope 18. The clamping part 9 is provided with a fixed clamping plate 2 abutting against the lower face of the roofing tile 44, and a movable clamping plate 5 disposed at the lower part of a fixed plate 4 and abutting against the upper face of the roofing tile 44 opposedly to the fixed clamping plate 2.
