<p>A warning lamp comprises a mount 10 for attaching to part of a vehicle, such as a bicycle. The mount is capable of fixedly holding an elongate member transversely to the vehicle when in use. A telescopic arm 30 is fixedly held in the mount; and a light 32 is fitted to the extending end of the telescopic arm. A reflector 34 or light may be attached to the non-extending end of the arm. The lamp serves to indicate the clearance required for other vehicles, and therefore improves safety. The lamp is preferably fitted to the saddle post 1 of a bicycle. A luggage rack (50, fig 4) may be integrated into the arrangement. The telescopic arm may be locked in position and may be releasable from the mount so that it can be used with the arm extending in either direction; enabling the device to be used in left-hand or right-hand configuration.</p> |
