The bar (13) has pseudo-triangular projections (17, 19) comprising blocking edges (20, 21), respectively. The projection (19) has downstream and upstream end sections (25, 24). A tangent (26) of the section (25) connected to the bar meets the edge (20) such that a slide is plated against the edge (20) and falls in a space (22) between the edges, when the slide slides on the bar and on the projection (19) between the sections. The slide slides on the bar and on the projection (19) when a movable bar is driven in an abrupt rotation by an animal. An acoustic absorption material such as a flexible foam, is arranged at the interior of the bar (13). An independent claim is also included for a livestock barrier unit comprising a control bar.
